As many as 6,333 new cases of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been recorded in the past 24 hours, with more than 44,200 tests being done, the Strategic Communication Group reported on Sunday.
So far, 1,194,106 cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania and 1,098,154 patients have been declared cured.
At the national level, up to this date, 9,523,585 RT-PCR tests and 3,092,303 rapid antigen tests have been processed.
In the last 24 hours, 16,062 RT-PCR tests were performed (6,201 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,861 on request) and 28,208 rapid antigen tests.
Aside from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 468 people were reconfirmed positive.
