Twenty people were rescued from the mountain in the last 24 hours, eight of them reaching the hospital, informs Salvamont Romania on Monday.

„In the last 24 hours, the Salvamont National Dispatch received 21 calls requesting the emergency intervention of rescuers,” according to Salvamont’s Facebook page.

Most calls were for mountain rescuers from Mures, Brasov, Neamt and Gorj.

In the case of these interventions, 20 people were saved.

Of these, 7 were handed over to the Ambulance Service or SMURD for transport to the hospital, and one person was taken by the SMURD helicopter to a medical unit.

29 calls were received requesting advice and information about different tourist routes in the mountain area.
